Back Panel (Mounting Panel)
A removable flat sheet metal plate mounted inside the enclosure on which electrical components such as DIN rail, terminal blocks, relays, circuit breakers, and VFDs are mounted and wired before installation into the enclosure body.
A back panel serves as the structural foundation inside your enclosure where all electrical components mount and interconnect before the entire assembly is installed in the field. Fabricators typically use this removable design to allow technicians to pre-assemble and test complex control systems in the shop before delivery.
The back panel accommodates DIN rail systems, terminal blocks, relays, and panel cutouts for operator interfaces, creating a modular approach to custom enclosure fabrication. When properly designed with appropriate reinforcement, the back panel maintains rigidity and prevents component movement during shipping and operation.
Our metal finishing process ensures corrosion resistance on the back panel surface, extending the enclosure's service life in demanding industrial environments.
